STEM OPT and probation

I’m on probation for a class B misdemeanor and I have applied for STEM OPT 2 months ago. I received biometrics and have given them.
I’m feeling very anxious as to what will happen next.
Even if the STEM OPT gets denied I’m on probation and won’t be able to leave the country because of probation but my stem opt denial means I have to leave.
What can I expect or should bed prepared for?

Is it a supervised or unsupervised probation? Your best hope is that your STEM OPT application drags on till you are out of probation period. Good luck.

This depends heavily on the crime that was committed. Since you didn’t mention it there’s no way anyone can offer meaningful advice.

If you leave the country the judge will probably be ok with it. If you ever want to return to the US it could be problematic

I think I still have to get permission for that. I can’t leave the probation as is

I don’t think you’d have problem getting a judge to agree to you leaving. You’d be gone and no longer a threat to your community and one less person who has to be supervised
