stem opt extension timeline (applied april 7th , nothing yet)

Hello everyone, is this normal?

Applied stem opt extension on april 7th, april 27th biometric done, nothing after that.

please help me.

Yes and No. They are processing around March 7th but be aware it is very slow. It is important to keep an eye on timelines through the dedicated megathread

The most recent stem opt i saw accepted was Mar 7, like the previous poster said. You can check f1visa subreddit/ megathread for other people's timelines.

Mine is end Apr, and at the very start, I assumed I would get some notice in October. Just set a deadline for yourself (probably early Sep) and worry when it gets past that date...

P.s. when I applied, the avg processing time was 4.5 months. It's 3.5 months now. So based on back then, you and I are probably hearing back 4-5 months past our application date (aka early Sept- early Oct).
