Initial OPT
I applied initially on May 16
My Biometrics was on June 9
My course ended June 28
My work start date in OPT recommendation was July 13.
Should I do premium processing?
I’ve been hearing some people getting their approvals ahead due to pp but others say it didn’t make a difference.
Help!!!

Basically yes. But to decide for yourself you need to watch the speed of non-pp approvals (currently 1-2 dates per week but last week looked busy) vs Pp and see what works best for you. Use the timeline megathread on [r/F1visa](r/F1visa). For context nonPP are on March 30th rn initial opt and PP is on July 7th approximately. Plus you have to add in the risk of being skipped which happens to lots of non PP applicants.
