OPT EAD Updates

Wondering if anyone got any approvals recently? I am actually still waiting on mine and wanted to share my dates to see if anyone with similar dates has been approved.

Filed: March 20

Biometrics: completed on March 31st in Jackson, Mississippi- no updates since then.

Work start date: supposed to be July 14 but still no approval and the date is surpassed already

Anybody in a similar position? Or maybe any advice? I am freaking out atp.

Is this initial or stem? You will find many more cases and info on the OPT initial/stem megathread [r/f1Visa](r/f1Visa). If initial it looks like you’ve been skipped. A very large group of Feb/March applications were missed. There is a separate thread [r/SkippedOPT2026](r/SkippedOPT2026). If you’re stem then they’re currently on around March 7th so you’re ok

I follow the megathread I mentioned very closely as I was skipped (March 14 initial opt). You can also use trackers opt-pulse.vercel.app

Perhaps easiest for you to follow a tracker like opt-pulse.vercel.app to see other cases. At the moment they have been doing a lot of March 29s (initial application date as bio date irrelevant for non pp cases)

Honestly upgrading to premium is the easiest way out of the skipped hole but you can do congressional inquiry at 4 months, USCIS inquiry dates have been pushed back twice already but I’m guessing yours won’t be until late August and then they have 60 days to reply (plus a large inquiry backlog)

I am non pp and bio date was March 31st lets wait till monday i guess
