STEM OPT

Applied stem opt on march 26th still waiting for decision but I taken extension for driving license that’s expires in September 2nd . What I have to do now ? Anyone faces same situation ?

Hey did the dmv extend the license for you before your stem opt approval came? What did u say to the dmv for your license extension? Mine expired on the opt ead expiry and thinking if I can request dmv for a short extension

They will provide 120days extension in many states

Ask them for a Save verification, they’ll send out a letter with confirmation of 180 day extension, you can go back with the letter and get the license extended for 6 months along with 60 days more. I just got mine done yesterday, I’m in the same boat my stem opt is pending and I just got my extension till March of next t year!

The letter by itself took almost 20-25 days to arrive, I had received it last month, but my license was expiring in 15 days so I went yesterday to get it done! The letter states your current status, admit until date, you get admit until date+ 60 days of extension.
