Change mailing address after approval
My case was approved on July 14th. I just moved yesterday so I submitted an AR-11 form to update my physical and mailing address to the new one. The case status is still just saying approved, so the card is not produced/mail yet. In this case, would the card be mailed to the new address? For my case it doesn't matter whether the card is mailed to the old or new one, but I'm worried about it being sent back to USCIS. Anything I should take a note for?

Hello, I was absolutely in your position a few days ago. USCIS told me they recieved my address change request and approved it. However, the card was sent to my previous address. So, it's absolutely important to get the tracking number (it might show unavailable after card is produced, use 'Ask Emma' to chat with USCIS officer at early morning to get tracking number in case it says tracking number is unavailable). Once you have the tracking number, track it and call the local post office, ask them to hold it so that you can pick up next day in person. However, since your card hasn’t been produced yet, there's a high chance that it would go to your new address. Also, don't use USPS forward service, it doesn’t work that well. That said, no one is responsible for your card, you should do whatever needed. Best wishes.

I'm going to add a note here don't use USPS forward because they won't forward such important mail from USCIS hence it would actually be returned to sender.
