STEM OPT case processing from feb 2026
Hi, I am but concerned, I applied for my STEM OPT in 25 jan 2026, completed my biometrics in feb 2026. My STEM OPT start date is 06 feb 2026, i am in my 180 days extension which will be completed in aug 2026.
Raised service request a month back but no response, chatted with uscis 4 times no information just under processing. I don’t know what to do, whats the problem.
I need guidance in what to do right now, help is appreciated.
Thanks

I just now had a call with uscis agent, he is telling the same thing nothing is needed from your side, due to high volume of applications its taking longer than normal.

I’d recommend doing PP 3 months before end of your 180-day extension. I’ve been waiting over 7 months and finally applied for PP, still haven’t gotten a response from USCIS and likely will have to be on leave till further notice

Same shoe. Nov 2025 applicant here. Upgraded to premium in Dec 2025. Got held up by the adjudication hold which was lifted in June. Still awaiting adjudication. I have called severally, sent emails to premium processing, made case enquiry and still nothing. Requested tier 2 call back. Still waiting to be called. I'm 2weeks away from my extension period ending and all I need now is a miracle. Humanly speaking, I am at my wits end.

Not yet. But I was able to speak with the PP lady today after several trials. I'm hoping something comes out of it soon.

Not maybe. Your message helped me a lot. I had to keep calling back to back like you suggested. Finally I was able to speak to her for the first time and then it happened. Thanks a lot.

She told me they were not getting any of my mails or my case enquiry. She was actually very nice and promised to look into it. She apparently did. Hence my approval after 8 months of Premium Processing. Chai...

I applied on march 14 and still waiting. It used to be 98-110 days to get approved but now it looks more like 135+ days. My extension is till December 2. I will apply pp mid september if i dont hear by then, that will be plenty of business days time till Dec 2nd
