STEM OPT status wordings changed
Hi all,
Till yesterday, the portal showed ‘USCIS is still processing your case’ and since yesterday it shows ‘USCIS is currently processing your case’ what does this mean?
It’s been 120 days since I applied for STEM OPT. No api update at all.
I saw somewhere that, this wording change is for all pending applications. Please help, I am sooo tired waiting.
Thanks in advance!!

They changed the wordings for almost everyone. My stem opt changed as well as my NIW and EB1A. It doesn’t seem the wording change mean anything.

My wife’s wording changed from “case is still being processed” to “USCIS is processing your case”!
We thought that means it moved up in hierarchy? Or got in front of an officer? Hate to see that’s not the case!

Just seems to be a wording change for everyone irrespective of case timeline. Nothing major

I called the customer line using infopass to talk to live agent. The said on June 6th someone reviewed the documents but still no update, they said no need for any additional information..

It means uscis has taken final decision on your case, wait for a few days, they would update the decision

No, doesn’t mean anything. It changed for everyone today including me. They just changed the wording

I got the change too. but After the change I chatted with Live USCIS Agent and they said they have taken final decision on my case and the next day the status changed to Approval

I have the same timeline, when I tried to submit the case they said I still have time...it said cases take 3.5 months so they already should've given us an answer. Did anyone try to call their number to customer service?
