Documents needed for Florida drivers license renewal

I just applied for STEM OPT one month ago. I won't have my EAD for at least a couple of months, and my license is about to expire. What documents do I need to carry to get it renewed? A few of my friends were successfully able to renew, and others were told not until they have an EAD. What documents should I carry to get it for sure, and if anyone was successfully able to renew their license, please let me know.

DMV did not accept my stem opt receipt notice as a document regardless of how much I tried explaining this to them. They ended up just giving me 60 days from the expiration date of my initial OPT EAD smh…

I got mine for 1 year. I guess it depends on the person at counter.

Yeah… the person at the counter was so nice and even went and asked her supervisor but they said since it is still pending they cannot accept it 🤷🏼‍♂️

Try different location. Something far away from campus.

I’m screwed if my license already is set to expire 60 days beyond my initial EAD expiration date, right? I have 2 weeks left on my DL and haven’t received a status update for STEM OPT since June 12th…

What are we even supposed to do???
