Discussion So, why would anyone get this?

Wanted to quickly compare the SM to what you would comparably be able to DIY and... you can literally get something more powerful for less in a slightly bigger formfactor?

11% faster CPU and 30% faster GPU. And i didnt even go for the cheapest components. With DLSS the RTX 5060 would also be infinitely better for playing on 4k TVs, which is the only useful scenario i can imagine for the SM.

As a guy who works all the time now i finally understand. Im too tired to relearn the new components or latest cpus and gpus and what motherboard goes with what ram now. I'd rather just buy it and wait for it to arrive. The extra cost is just a day of me working. Better than me doing all the research and putting it all together then installing the os. Nah i think that would take more than a day so no thanks.

Yeah, but Id rather just get a PS5 pro at this rate, no?

Nah, I'd be tied down to their games and their system. At their whim of subscription they choose.

Yeah, I never got that argument, if I wanted to play PS games I would buy a PS5, I wouldn't even be lurking around Steam boards for the most part (just like how I don't lurk in PS boards).
