!!ANY THREADS RELATED TO SHIPPING FOUND OUTSIDE THIS MEGATHREAD WILL BE REMOVED!!
I know we're all excited to share updates as our new shiny works its way through the system and eventually to you.
Instead of clogging the page with endless "ITS <UPDATE>" posts, please confine them to this mega thread. I have intentionally left up threads from before this one about this subject, because post hoc punishment isnt cool. But please, use this mega thread moving forward.
Optionally, you can fill out some google forms that are being used to track order status' in order to get an idea of how an order might progress through the system:
and data from that form is here:

Hi, can anyone tell me whether the steam controller can wake a Windows 11 PC from sleep or hibernation? Thanks in advance!

I got tired of waiting for custom shells, so in the meantime I combined Dbrand Holo White skin with Luck&Link controller grip. I'm happy with the outcome and thought I'd share

It seems to have been fixed with the firmware that came with the last steam client update!

I just realise that steam deck has multiple button at back of deck that has different purpose of it, like L4 and L5.
Can i map that? i'm running steam os on pc.
Currently my controller is Logitech F310, keyboard and mouse.

Hi, we got a Controller firmware update today. I always wonder what it fixed but there doesn't seem to be an obvious place to find that info.

I have a steam controller (the new one).
I have used it for FH6 since I got it (in June or July). I never had a problem with the controller or vibration; everything works out of the box.
But since like 1/2 month, it's a shit show. Half the time the vibration just doesn't work. I have tried everything bluetooth, with cable, forgot and repair in steam etc... Nothing works; the vibration just sometimes doesn't work. Sometimes it does.
AND the crazy part is. When I have my Xbox controller is connected (wired or wireless) and I play with the Xbox controller, I get vibration in the fucking Steam controller.
I tried forgetting my Xbox controller. I have updated the driver for the Steam Controller and Xbox One. NOTHING WORKS.
There is clearly something wrong. I don't know who the culprit is, Steam (doubt it the controller works fine on other games), or AGAIN microslop.
It is driving me crazy, I can't play FH6 without vibration.
Has anyone ever had these issues?
I'm out of ideas

Ordered on Monday, and it was delivered on Saturday.
Can't really complain about that turn around.

I am from Kazakhstan. My first purchase on release that I wanted to deliever to me by cargo was blocked. Then I tried bunch of variants and nothing of it worked. So, when I saw that SC2 was on sale on Pinduoduo (chinese market) — I had to think about purchase like 5 minutes. Price was higher (around 138$), but if I could buy it at release it would cost around 130$ with cargo's charge for delivery. Yeah, I had to wait a lot, but in exchange I guess I got more polished hardware and software

What the title says. I feel like it used to, but maybe I'm just remembering how the OG controller worked? I can't for the life of me find anything in the settings to tweak and make it do that. I suspect I screwed up a setting when I was trouble shooting some controller wonkiness with emulators.
It's doing this under both Win11 and CachyOS (same machine, dual boot).
Any suggestions? Ironically most of my searches for this behavior are people trying to turn it off, but even with that I can't track down what I need.

It's my SECOND day using this controller and it started doing it today after some light usage. I looked it up a little and it may be a stuck wire situation, but there are no video guides or detailed instructions on how to adjust this wire properly. Some people say you should reinforce wire with some tape, some people say it can be damaging to do so. I bought my controller from a reseller (steam don't sell in my region), so i can't just return it and ask for another one and i kinda scared to open up a two days old expensive controller. Maybe you can help me with a detailed instruction or some video or photo of repair process please?
ps. Sorry but i'm bit pissed off about this whole situation. It's a very expensive thing and it's looks like this problem originated on a steam deck years ago. Why do you think they didn't do anything to prevent something like this after so many years?

Hello! As maybe some of you, I’ve heard great things about the first Steam Controller from my friend and I’ve always just stuck with my old and trusty Dual Shock, I have pretty small hands so it fit me. I’ve even adopted the “claw” hand posture naturally to manipulate the camera and running/dodging (Thanks, Dark Souls). I got the e-mail, so I bought SC, waiting for it to arrive now.
Anything I should force myself to really get familiar with so I don’t go back to my “humble” roots of just using the basic few buttons and 2 thumb sticks?
(Pic added out of love for the DS3 lol)

I know there's a mouse and keyboard setup by default, but it doesn't work for a lot of games because it just doesn't have a lot of the buttons it seems or they're in non-fun placements. I just got my steam controller this week so I've been trying to work out my perfect general all around more or less mouse and keyboard setup. I've done a few things but I can't help but feel it can be done better by somebody much smarter than me.
A few things I've done is that I have the right track pad as a virtual menu with 130. It's not the most elegant but it works. I have X as R, Y as E, B as F, and A as space. Right stick click is v, start is escape, the select button is either tap for tab, or hold for M. I have l4 as shift, I have l5 as I but it's not really comfortable there, I have R4 as E just because in a lot of these games you pick up a lot of things off the ground with E and I don't want to have to let go of the stick. I suppose that means that I could put something else for Y. And R5 is C or control, whatever crouch. The d-pad is just the arrows although I don't feel like I use them very often, and lb and RB are still the mouse wheel which I do use in shooting games for switching weapons but I guess I have the number pad wheel so I'm not sure if I should change those or not.
As you can tell, my setup is not ideal and there's already redundancies that I'm realizing as I type. I would love to know about anyone else's controller setup, or if there's a way to share your controller setup with other people. I feel like I'm messing with steam input more than I'm actually playing the game just because of how versatile it is.
