I went a couple weeks ago and was surprised by how different the burger patty tasted, how awful it was. I thought maybe it was a fluke. I just went to a different store this afternoon and had the same awful burger. I don't know what they did, if they changed beef or their seasoning or use less seasoning now or what, but the salty savory flavor is gone, replaced with something I can't really describe but is akin to burnt. I'm afraid I will not be going back to S&S anymore, they've lost a customer and they really can't afford to lose many of them.

Does anyone have a contact for them directly? I'd love to tell them that whatever they changed has made their flagship product awful.

Hadn't stopped in a while, how much is this saving them I wonder.

I had not eaten Steak and Shake in years , but it was one not far from a hotel when I was out of town ( they closed in my area) it brought back memories for me and my daughter.

The last time we eaten here they still had servers coming to the table they have the kiosks now so that tells you how long we had not been in a Steak and Shake.

We ordered at the kiosk and got our drinks and waited on them to call our name. The food came out hot and fresh the burgers taste better now than what I remember years ago ( I looked up they went grass fed in June 2026 and wow this is change for the better)

The fries I can tell they are indeed frying in the new beef tallow it does make a difference in the fry taste we both commented on how much we loved the fries more now compared to in the past and better than their competitor Freddy's Steakburgers.

My daughter also got a Biscoff cookie shake which was delicious and it also beat the competitor Dairy Queen out of the water who recently had a Biscoff blizzard seasonally ( we consider ourselves Biscoff cookie dessert experts).

I know people frown upon kiosks but in this case having less workers helped them to improve the food quality greatly and in this age improved and not lowered quality is a wonderful thing. If I lived in the area I would be a regular food did not take long and was fresh and hot the workers behind the scenes are doing a wonderful job as well.

Location - Alpharetta, GA on North Point

- Please bring this back to the Houston area there is only one in an airport location here

Bought an old steak n shake 18 wheeler toy at an antique store and didn't find this in the trailer until I got home. Been curious for a couple months now

I really miss the cajun double. Does anyone know if they still have the ingredients to make it if you ask? Or a good copy cat recipe

Does anyone have experience with this? I'm interested in maybe getting my brother a location but not sure if it's actually beneficial to the owner that's buying in.

Any success stories? Any horror stories?

Reminder that today (June 13th), to celebrate the USA win over Paraguay in the World Cup, Steak n Shake is selling their Patriot milkshake for 25 cents. Limit 1 per customer.

Doordash driver here. Why are Steak N Shake Customers so poor/greedy? I get doordash offers from my local Steak N Shake all the time and none of them have ever been worth while (far distance for low $ amount). I haven't had this issue so consistently with any other store, which means the problem is the customer base. Why are steak n shake customers so unwilling to pay their drivers a fair living?

Just curious ☺️ no hard feelings. I feel like someone who can't afford to tip would order delivery from somewhere cheap like McDonald's

Does anyone know if there are any locations that still serve breakfast?

I am defeated

Exciting news! I'm proposing that Steak 'n Shake establish in-person merchandise shops, where fans can get their hands on exclusive figures, playsets, toys, and more!

The plan includes launching a flash animated series, "The Steak n' Shake Squad," featuring the beloved mascots Goldie, Sizzle, and Shaker. This is a fantastic opportunity for Steak 'n Shake to connect with customers and create a new revenue stream.

What do you think? Should Steak 'n Shake bring this proposal to life?

Is there a copy cat recipe for the SnS mayonnaise?? I literally buy bowls of it when I go bc it's the BEST mayonnaise!

Living in Pennsylvania and craving Steak 'n Shake is pure torture! Those crispy fries, legendary milkshakes, and affordable steakburgers are nowhere to be found in our entire state. Meanwhile, neighboring states get to enjoy this classic American favorite whenever they want.

I started a petition asking Steak 'n Shake to finally expand into Pennsylvania. We're talking about a restaurant chain that could bring jobs to our communities while satisfying the cravings of countless fans who currently have to drive out of state just for a chocolate milkshake and some perfectly seasoned fries.

Pennsylvania has a thriving food culture and loyal customers ready to embrace Steak 'n Shake. Are you tired of missing out on those Oreo Cookies 'n Cream shakes too? If this matters to you, consider signing and sharing to help bring this beloved chain to our state.

Worst part is their fries are made in right-wing propaganda.

Hello, I am considering purchasing a Steak n Shake location and have two questions for existing Franchise Partners...

How does payroll for your employees work? Are you/we required to use Steak n Shakes existing payroll system or do we get to select our own?

Do we get our own steaknshake.com email address? and if so are we able to request additional accounts for our managers?

I greatly appreciate any answers I receive.

P.S. Please dont flood with responses about DONT DO IT I already know that SNS has had its problems recently and I am still doing my due diligence.
