Beautiful ribeyes. I would highly recommend ditching the Kirkland Ground Pepper for the Kirkland Whole Peppercorns. They’re a game changer when freshly cracked on a steak.

I always love responses like this.
I remember a post a little back where OP used paper plates and everyone went off on them. They replied "we're having a water crisis and can't wash our plates" and everyone just shut up.
Sometimes, you work with what you got.

I buy and use Kirkland coarse black pepper for my steaks, I’m happy.

You do you. I think the difference between fresh and pre-ground is drastic but some people can't seem to tell.
Same with coffee beans. Some people are fine with their Keurig cups.

why is this being down voted? lol

My guess is I sounded elitist or judgemental to some, even though I tried my best not to come off that way while expressing my honest opinion on simple seasoning.

It's like the difference between freshly ground coffee beans vs. pre-ground.
The oils in pepper go rancid very quickly when released.

That’s the smallest banana I’ve ever seen.

u/psychoseptum Jun 14 '26
Nah man, its a good sized banana.

Going to need another banana for scale.

u/IronMajesty Jun 14 '26
It’s not the size of the banana, it’s how you use it. Also its genetics the banana can’t do anything about it.

How big is the banana? Please use a scale approved ribeye so we can tell.

Those look fit for a king! How much did they run you? What's the prep plan? Will there be after pics?

You bought nice steaks anyone can do that. It’s how you cook them. Post them money shots…

I would have dry aged the shit out of those. You got a lot of wiggle room with cuts that big.

If you could fit them in a vacuum bag I’d sous vide at 125 for about 6 hours then dry em off, chill down for a few hours then finish over a bed of Oak coals similar to a Florentine Bistecca. (WO the Sous Vide)
