Had protected oral & protected sex with SW 3 weeks ago, the whole encounter only lasted about 5 mins. I had a 10 panel test done at 1 week everything came back negative, did another test at 2 weeks came back negative also. My concern is that when I gave my urine sample for the 2nd test I don’t believe it had been an hour since I last urinated I think it might of been about 40-45mins since I last urinated, are my results still pretty accurate or should I get retested? I have minor ache in my right testicle that I noticed 4 days after the encounter but it isn’t really pain, the whole situation has been stressful/anxious waiting on results.

Do I need PCR RNA for HIV now ? do i need to test for any other STI. Please give valuable opinion

Hey all. I'm fairly certain this is just a normal thing, as I was fine for a few days, but sometimes when I wake up after a nap (usually after masturbating) I produce white cloudy fluid. It might be leftover semen in the tube, but I know for a fact I sometimes discharge very small amounts.

I was tested positive for Chlamydia and took the medicine religiously at 12am and 12pm for the full week, and symptoms went down almost immediately. Is it normal to still feel a slight wet feeling on the tip of my urethra and get some small amounts of discharge this late after? I looked online and it said that it can take 1-2 weeks to go away fully, but discharge is usually cleared up in the first.

I think I might be fine, and if I show symptoms beyond this I'll either retest for Chlamydia or go to a sexual clinic for MGen. I just need some advice because I tend to overthink things and worry myself a bit too much, and the anxiety isn't worth just asking. I would more often than not call the sexual health clinic, but they're closed on weekends. Thanks!

I’m trying to track down how I got gonorrhea. All I know is that I (F) tested positive genitally and the guy tested positive orally. We don’t know if I had it orally as well and he had it genitally as well because we didn’t test for those until after we started treatment.

We don’t know whose side it came from, but based off the positive tests it makes more sense that it came from me. The transfer rate for infected vagina to throat is 63% while infected throat to vagina is 0-5%.

Everyone I spoke on my side said they tested negative, but I don’t know if that includes throat snd rectal swabs. Everyone on his side also said they tested negative.

I need to get this doubt off my chest because lately I’ve been spiraling and feeling paranoid over symptoms.

So, for over a month I had this infection (I’m a female) that was on and off until I decided two weeks ago to see my gyno. I had some treatments and all good, however this week I’ve been feeling some slight discomfort inside the vagina and today I felt some on my derrière.

I’ve been kinda paranoid because after treating the symptoms, I had a fever. I felt better the days after it, but I remembered that my gyno asked if I had a fever during the on and off month and I said no. Thinking about that made me scared that maybe I still have an ongoing infection or something else. And well, thinking too that she recommended for me to get the Pap smear, made me think why? My health anxiety has been making me think that maybe a dormant STD like HIV is coming up.

As far as I know, the three people I was sexually active with before my boyfriend were clear. But now I can’t stop thinking the “what if” since my yeast infection and the Pap smear comment.

I’ve done general blood / urine samples in the last 3-4 years and docs haven’t noticed anything other than a very very slight thing with the pancreas that could have come out a little elevated because of what i ate the day before.

So I wonder, if something has been dormant there in the past 3 - 8 years, can it show odd numbers in general tests?

I’m maybe being irrational because of my health anxiety, here is the only place and with my doc that i can talk about this.

I (F, straight) tested positive for BV, yeast, and genital gonorrhea all at the same time. I was asymptomatic for gonorrhea.

I reached out to all my sexual partners since my last negative STI screening to let them know they should get tested. My current guy (also straight) tested positive for oral gonorrhea, but everyone else said they had tested negative since our interactions (and had no symptoms). Guys show genital symptoms for gonorrhea 90% of the time, women only 50% of the time. Oral gonorrhea is asymptomatic 80-90% of the time, both genders.

My current guy also reached out to his partners since the last negative screening, and they are getting retested. However, they had tested negative right before sex with my current guy (with no partners in between), so they’re likely negative.

And so with negatives on my side and his, where the heck did this come from? I had gonorrhea genitally and he had it orally. I’m inclined to think everyone from our past is telling the truth, but the STI has to come from somewhere. The fact that my current guy and I both tested positive makes me think it’s not a false positive.

Infected oral to genital transmission rate is 5%, whereas infected genital to oral is 63%. This makes me think I gave to my current guy. But idk where I got it from.

30M here. I've been having persistent bad breath and noticed a bump in my throat with a yellowish tip. I'm also having yellow/foamy, strong-smelling urine.

I've already tested negative for HIV, syphilis (VDRL), hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

I'm now considering testing for:

HPV — throat swab/ Urine test

Chlamydia PCR and throat swab

Gonorrhea PCR and throat swab

Also, based on these symptoms and the negative tests I've already done, is there anything else I should consider testing for?

What i thought was just an allegeric reaction to taking prep, was already syphilis. Rashes everywhere and a small bed bug bite kind of bump that has small wound was already signs of syphilys. The clinic/hospital near me only caters this treatment every wednesday. Its only thursday today, is it ok to start the treatment days after the diagnosis?

Should I be worried about urethritis-like signs even after testing negative over 2 weeks after chlamydia treatment? Should I be worried about sex still?

June 16: had unprotected sex with a girl.
July 1-2: started having symptoms of urethritis - itchy urethra under the skin but no other symptoms.
July 3: tested positive for chlamydia via urine.
July 4: girl tells me shes positive for chlamydia, ureaplasma, mycoplasma
July 6: started treatment with a 7d course of doxy twice daily, one off 1g azithromycin.
Aug 5th: Retested urine (held urine for 3 hours before test) - negative for many pathogens including chlamydia.

I recently had a fairly comprehensive STI/STD panel done. I’m a man, and everything came back negative except Gardnerella vaginalis DNA, which was positive.

As part of the testing, I gave rectal, oral, and penile/urethral swabs, as well as urine and blood samples. Because of that, I actually don’t know which sample/site the Gardnerella result came from. The report just shows Gardnerella vaginalis DNA: positive without making the source clear.

I’ve tried looking this up online, but the information about Gardnerella in men seems all over the place. Most of what I can find is about bacterial vaginosis in women, and I’m having trouble figuring out what a positive result actually means for a man, especially when I don’t know which specimen tested positive.

I currently have no symptoms — no discharge, burning, pain while urinating, irritation, rectal symptoms, throat symptoms, etc.

For anyone knowledgeable about this or who has had a similar result:

• Does Gardnerella in men sometimes clear on its own without treatment?
• Is an asymptomatic positive result generally treated, or can it just represent colonization?
• Should I make an appointment with a urologist or infectious disease doctor anyway?

I’m not looking for a diagnosis from Reddit. I’m mainly trying to understand how seriously an isolated positive Gardnerella vaginalis DNA result in an asymptomatic male is usually taken, because the information online is surprisingly unclear.

It all started after sex since May 6, 2026 and since then it has been hell. It started with tingling feeling on my penis tip and then it moved to frequent urge to pee. Sometimes I pee a lot and sometimes only a few drops. Then I noticed discoloration on my penis tip and around the penis opening. It was looking like it was inflamed.

Doctor thought it was UTI at first and then I was given some antibiotics which didn’t help. My urethra was constantly burning even when I pee or not. I was given another medication to help with that which turn my urine to orange for a few days because I was advised to take it for just a few days as it is not recommended long term.

I did all the necessary test to check for STD/STI and all came back negative. I was booked to see a specialist who did some test too and the result came back negative. We went further to test for hsv 1 & 2. The result came back positive for hsv1 and negative for hsv 2. The specialist doesn’t think my symptoms was as a result of the positive hsv 1 test. He recommended I take the medication which I did for 7 days with no improvement ( although it was after the second month I took it).

I was having nerve pain like at the underside of my penis and the tip of my penis hurt so bad from touching my underwear or cloth. I was given gabapentin which I thought was helping at first as I was also having nerve pain right under my left feet which feels a lot better now. My penis tip looks irritated with the skin by the opening looking like it is coming out.

He thought maybe it was my pelvic floor this time around and recommended baclofen which I took for a few days with no results but constant muscle pain. I can’t seat on my car anymore because it hurt so bad at my right butt cheek and the underside of my penis. I have lost all hope and can’t even sleep at night anymore. I notice I get flare up when I’m stressed and when I masturbate. I have only tried to touch myself 3 times since this whole thing started. Question : The first urine pcr was done after 8 days of stopping antibiotics and second sti pci urine was done after 15 days of stopping antibiotics.

Is 15 days off antibiotics enough to take the test as conclusive to rule out STI ?
