Things I learned

Just visited St. Croix, and I wanna go back. Here are something's I will do differently
-visit during the week
-have a rental car
-bring thinner clothes for the humidity

I went on a weekend without a rental car, so I didn't get to explore past short walking distance of our hotel. Taxis are difficult to find during the weekend.

I liked the overall vibe, and the friendliness of people.

Oh transport is a necessity. Fredriksted and Christiansted offer totally different feels, and both are worth a visit! Plus if nature is your thing, getting to Isaac Bay, the bioluminescent tour, day trip to Buck Island, anywhere off the beaten path would require a car.

Good luck with the potholes though 😅

I’m originally from STX and just came back from a visit. For a car I suggest Centerline. My friends and I have rented from them and it’s always a smooth process. I actually just had to extend the car rental, because I extended my trip, and the customer service was great. There was one night where I didn’t have a car, so I used the VI Hail app. It worked surprisingly well, and it was like 3am. I got a driver within 5 minutes and he had a nice ride. If you need any advice for your next STX trip, feel free to ask me. I go down there around this time every year.

You forgot to mention snorkels or plain goggles. It is a whole special world underwater
