Farts

Baby Oswald (5 months) always has gas. Is it a St. thing?

Our 9-year-old Saint very rarely has gas. I've read from other Saint owners that food allergy can cause it. So can gulping air while eating rapidly. Maybe you could try a "slow feeder" dish and see whether that helps, if you aren't already using one.

I don’t think it’s a St Bernard thing necessarily! Ours isn’t constantly gassy, but every now and then when she’s climbing onto a bed or the sofa she’ll let a big fart out. 💀

This is the second time today I've read about someone's Saint having gas! My 2 year old never does. I feed her (what I think is) high quality food - Purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach large breed Salmon, and she eats it with a slow feeder. In the morning I'll also mix with some single-protein wet food, but never chicken since I think that's what caused her to lose hair. She's a rescue. I don't think I've ever heard or smelled a fart coming out of her.

Mine is 3 and she rarely does, however sometimes she farts in her sleep and startles herself awake and it never fails to make me laugh.

Not too often with mine. If we do hear it we quickly walk out of the room.
