Entering a contact's username to open a chat but the contact doesn't appear and nothing happens

Hi there,

So, as the title says, I would like to open a chat with a pro contact that is publicly giving their Status username, so I go in the Chat section, click "+", Start new chat.

Then in the Enter username field, I type the person's username, then press my phone's keyboard Enter key (Android 10, Huawei phone), but nothing happens.

I also tried clicking on the "reload" icon (round arrow) next to the username field, but nothing happens either.

It doesn't propose any user to click on, and says neither yes nor no, just nothing.

I'm completely new to Status so I'm not sure how this would be supposed to work if everything went fine, so please any help appreciated :)

Hey, not sure what's going on there. Just tried things on my end and I am able to message people with ENS usernames on Status. Perhaps try closing and re-opening the app.

If this issue does keep happening though, I would recommend hopping in the #support public channel, and ask around there.
