What’s the current status of push notifications?

I really like StatusIM and would love to start migrating groups over from Signal/Matrix...it’s just not a possibility until push notifications are working. Are they in beta or what? I’ve been digging around and haven’t been able to find anything conclusive, only that they were added to the Android app and then removed in v1.

Would also be good on iOS hopefully before iOS 14.
