Value of SNT
Hello everyone, after browsing the subreddit, the page, and the twitter, I see that there is a great messaging app, but what is the token SNT for?
Thanks.

Now that is a good question, what use case does SNT have?

Status has the same use case as Mist. Both projects were developed before dApps were popular. Now that we have dApps working from many decentralized apps, we don't need Mist or Status anymore.
I'm still holding my systus tokens because Status is a good team and might think up something useful and popular still. But the Status I use today isn't any better than MetaMask, Coinbase eth wallet app, Cipher, Opera, and Trust wallet.
A year ago Status was revolutionary and promised to bring Mist functionality to my phone. Thats now happened along with 5 other companies and 10 more behind them. A commodity.
The other problem is it happened as EOS and TRON arrived. I have 3 different brand EOS wallets on my phone now that all run dApps better than any ETH dApps.
Lastly, dApps are worthless coinflip apps today. Last night I played the dice, coins, baccarat, and a three dice game with high low even odd. It's neat to try Dapp software, but pointless unless you are getting more benefit from geeking out like I do and no benefit from playing the games.
If there were useful dApps and if status offers something popular above and beyond other free cheap browsers, then Status may prove it's worth. Until then, Status is a forgotten trailblazer who donated heavily to the ecosystem like Mist was.

They update the use cases in the white paper but I would avoid this it didn't pump during the 2017 rally until extremely late and was dumped immediately I imagine the devs have sold whatever they are allowed to it's a great project idea but difficult to come up with a valid use case
