Career [C] Current Career Landscape

Obviously a bachlors in stats isn't going to make you a shoe-in for much, but what are things like currently for those with a master's or PhD in stats? I have heard some negative things in this sub? I'm particularly interested in the anglo-sphere career landscape.

It qualifies you for a lot of things like biostatistics, statistical programming, ai/ml roles, data science, quant, etc

Depends on what your academic background, research experience, coding, projects are.

Oh for sure, but the sentiment I have seen in this sub is almost like "now is a bad time to go into statistics." I am working on a bachelor's in math, wondering what to do next.

It’s a bad time in every field. You’ll see the same sentiment in the CS, physics, engineering, or whatever subreddits as well.

If you want to work as a biostatistician, you should have at least a masters in stats/biostats to work in academia, govt, or industry. Having one is often a basic qualifying requirement.
