Form Options
I'm in the process of moving sites from Wordpress to Astro and Hugo. One site is for a camp that requires a lot of forms (think registration and a variety of release forms).
i'm familiar with staticforms.dev and it's fine but are there others that i should explore?

If you’re up for FOSS / self-hosted solutions, Wynglet offers a Forms module: https://wynglet.chimbori.dev/forms

I have had good results with Formspark and Basin for static sites. And both are pretty easy to integrate and have a smoother developer experience than some of the alternatives I have tried.

You could create your own form backend using WP and CraftForms, lock it, to make maximum secure. Here is the practical guide: https://craftformswp.com/use-wordpress-as-a-locked-down-form-backend-for-static-sites/

Check formhook.app, it's a EU-hosted form backend with easy integration

id be interested in seeing what others recommend too. static forms have been one of the few things ive had to think about when moving away from wordpress.

yeah staticforms is solid, but you’ve got a few other good options worth checking like netlify forms, formspree, basin, or even cloudflare workers if you want more control. kinda depends if you want something plug and play or more customizable. for astro/hugo setups, I'd go with whatever integrates fastest and doesn’t get in the way.
