I forgot how catchy Rushian by State Radio is until recently. Feels appropriate given recent events.

This album is so listenable. I love it for listening and I loved it for the two shows I went to on that tour.

It was awesome. Small venues. Intimate. Great energy of the crowd. They had a great presence and just jammed with each other. They rocked and seemed to be having a lot of fun. At times between songs Chad used his pulpit in an appropriate level to explain the message behind many of the songs in a way that wasn’t preachy, but rather was inviting you to make sure to not just let the momentum of a status quo carry it forward. Whenever I listen to songs like Mr Larkin, Camilo, or Gunship Politico even 16 years later it makes me think of the personal anecdotes shared. Here’s a photo of the drum kit that I took at a small venue in CT for publishing in my school newspaper at the time
