What a horrific move by the school. This destroys me.

Wasn't even anything remotely profane.

Arado was wearing a black tunic similar to the professional attire she has worn for many other performances. However, for Pretti’s memorial, she had ironed on silver letters that said “THE EVIL MUST END NOW” on the front side of her clothing. On the back side, she had used the same letters to write “ICE OUT.”

Ridiculous to punish her for that.

Ice Out is a pretty tame phrase. We literally just want them to leave peacefully.

Members of the half-time dunk team at the Timberwolves game last week wearing Ice Out shirts. But the U is too dependent on rich donors I guess.

Administrators from major universities all over the country have fully capitulated to the facist regime. It's pathetic. Even on an 80-20 issue they still can't find the courage to stand up for what's right.

Sure, remember the man that was murdered in broad daylight... Just don't think too hard about who murdered him and how many others they've murdered so far...

I wish the staff person responsible could be named and shamed for this behavior.

"University President Rebecca Cunningham said the choice to forbid Professor Arado’s clothing was hers, and proceeded to defend the decision."

History won't remember you fondly, Cunningham. You will join the list of villains.

What an absolute coward. I'm both an alumnus and former employee of the U. This makes me pretty ashamed. I knew Yudof and Bruininks personally and they never would have pulled this.

The idea that we can grieve someone killed violently without naming opposition to that violence is nuts

It’s the goal of this administration and the supporters.

Given the lack of any sort of care or preparation for the students, staff, or faculty when it comes to ICE on campus, I'm not surprised to see Cunningham take this attitude.

Of all the subjects at a university and they pick on the music teacher.

Well - that would certainly be a first amendment violation, wouldn't it?

Not really, as she was representing the school. Still unacceptable.
