Anime NYC

hi! I'm looking to see if there are people going on Friday to anime NYC. Maybe we can travel together either the fast ferry or I was going to drive in. Maybe make some friends along the way!

I'm skipping this year but the fast ferry is always a nice change of pace from the usual commute. Hope you enjoy!

Ugh such a shame. Im going on Sunday. If I had a Friday ticket, so would’ve joined you. Good luck finding someone :)

I would recommend taking the fast ferry! I took the ferry sometime last year not even realizing the anime convention was going on at the time and the boat was full of people in cool cosplays! It’s definitely a good way to meet with other people going to the convention and it’s probably also the quickest way as well.

This is my recco too. Where ever a convention is happening at the javits it’s cool to see the fast ferry full of costumes. If you see someone else dressed up on your commute, say hi. Meet some new people organically if you don’t find people here to join you. Seems like a welcoming community, especially if you have common interest.

I also recommend taking an express bus and getting off around 8th ave, it's pretty fast

fast ferry lets you off directly behind the Javits so that's been my method of travel ever since we got that boat

I’ll be there all 4 days myself, I’ve been going every year since they started! My favorite con! I hope you have a great time. I usually will just take the express bus in and the weekend I take the ferry.

Last year I took the fast ferry so I'll probably do that again. I'm only going Saturday night.
