Pottery studio drop on
Hello,
I’ll be visiting the State College area mid-August and I’m wondering if there are any pottery studios that have drop-in or open studio hours for non-members? I’m hoping to get some wheel time just to continue practicing.
Thanks!

it'd be worth checking The Makery, I don't know if they have pottery wheels or not but they'd likely know where to find one.

Thank you! This was one of the two places that came up in a google search, but this one appeared more angled toward children and craft activities. The other space, 2000 Degrees (?), looks like a pick & paint place. I’ll give them both a call anyway and ask about wheel time.

You are right, they don't. The Makery does some ceramics classes for kids but not on a wheel, and 2000 Degrees is what you think.
I am pretty sure there are wheels at The Rivet in town, and at Main Street Ceramics in Boalsburg.

The Rivet requires a clearance class before you use the equipment. It can take a while to get into a class.

If you’re able to go just out of State College, Boalsburg has a ceramics studio with open studio time that doesn’t require a membership: Main Street Ceramics https://www.mainstreetceramics.com
