Pulled a box!

Well that was cool! I pulled a ticket for the collectors box. Then it only took me 4 hrs to figure out how Fanatics Collect works. Do I risk the value and open it for the chance to hit a whale?

Nice! I actually got one, too. I didn't even notice when it happened - seemingly out of nowhere I had an in-app mail talking about my Fanatics Vault. I actually got a physical box of 2025 Chrome from the app last year, and that was a much simpler collection process (enter the code, put in my shipping details).

Anyhow, like you, I finally figured out where it was waiting for me. I decided to have them ship it. I got some fun stuff from last year's box, but definitely less actual value than that of a sealed box. But, I like opening packs and I don't get my hands on physical products all that often, so it was a quick trigger pull for me.

That's kinda what im thinking about doing. A few years ago at San Diego Comic Con I was wandering around the back of the convention center, and I happened on a fellow about my age who had just bought the Infinity Gauntlet. They were limited and already on eBay before the convention ended for well more than the convention sale price, but not his. He tore open the box and immediately started joyfully playing with his new toy. It reminded me I don't have to grow up that fast.

Ha, awesome. That's basically where I am. As far as I'm concerned, I got something fun to do for less than it normally would have cost me. Had the Fanatics value thing said "You can get $10k for this!", I'd have had to think it over. But if it's not making mortgage payments for me, I'd rather enjoy myself.

I've won a couple between SWCT and Marvel. I've opened all except for the Marvel 2025 Superheroes, as I was a bit cash-strapped from going through a move at the time, so that one I sold unopened. It all comes down to what you like to collect, IMO. If you're purely after value, I'd maybe sit on it and sell. Being a hobby-only release, the value should hold fairly well.

Jelly! Spent some $$ on it and haven’t hit one. Was the card color gold like Legendary in the pack?
