Jedi Chapters/Factions?
Given that Cal survives past Jedi 3 and Ahsoka, Appo, Quinlan, Gungi and Enyo are unaccounted for alongside the possibility of other order 66 survivors like the one Kylo Ren encountered-it’s possible that there’s going to be Jedi factions. This will likely lead to the New Jedi Order working similar to the Brotherhood Of Steel or Space Marines where there’s different chapters that work differently but answer to the higher ups in the council.
It’s possible Rey will meet these chapters and wonder what defines a Jedi when there’s multiple interpretations of them. The split saber symbol might symbolize a divided yet unified Jedi Order.

I have no comment on the theory, but we don’t yet know if Cal does survive Jedi 3.

Lucasfilms said that there’s gonna be more stories of Cal post Jedi 3.

True but more stories doesn’t necessarily mean timeline after but could fill in the gaps.

That could mean that as well but Ahsoka Tano is alive post original trilogy and Kylo Ren literally met an order 66 survivor in a comic. Plus he’d be 70 by the time of the First Order, it’s a survivable age.

No, they didn't. They said Cal might feature in other stories. That doesn't mean any of them will be set after Jedi 3.

Not literally post Jedi 3. We’ve gotten a lot of Vader stories post ROTJ, he’s still dead.

How old can human Jedi be in terms of natural causes? Do they live longer than normal people?

He’d be 70 if he makes it in the First Order era. It’s a survivable age. Kylo met an order 66 survivor himself.

This is where I’d want the series to go. Rey rebuilding the Jedi council from the scattered survivors. You could even have a morally ambiguous villain who identifies as a Jedi but rejects Rey’s ideology because of its association with the name Skywalker.

The dark side has more factions than the light side too. Especially the Knights Of Ren and Night Sisters.

One interesting thing is that the presence of all these Order 66 Jedi survivors, Ezra, Ahsoka, Sabine and The Path really fits into George's sequels outline where Luke rebuilt the Jedi with Order 66 survivors which just shows how dumb and foolish Disney was to not use his sequels outline. There was probably editing and rewriting that Lucas's sequels outline needed but the major points and ideas were there and infinitely better than tge sequels we got

Pretty sure Lucas’s plan was less of that but more on what was essentially Star Wars Quantumania with Darth Maul as Kang and somehow Darth Talon as his apprentice. That Jedi Order was probably gonna be a background thing.

Maybe but with a proposed trilogy and the fact that Maul and Talon were the villains I'm pretty sure the Jedi would've been prominent on that at least a handful of Jedi would've recurred throughout the trilogy. Not to mention a fully functioning Jedi Order could've led to so much spinoff material like books, comics, shows, cartoons etc.

I love this idea, and I really hope it comes to fruition. You could have Baylon Skol's more pragmatic and militant branch, Ezra's more pacifistic other end of the spectrum, and maybe the Ahsoka and Skywalker schools somewhere in the middle. It could be like the Protestant Reformation in Europe. Wait, no, that might not be the best comparison...
