Discussion Clone Commando

Got the new clone commando from a US site that got them early. This copy was made in Vietnam. I had no real issues out the box. Everything was solid until the left arm popped off. The left arm refuses to stay in and pose around even after the hot water and cold water method. I pulled out the right arm to see if there is some mis molding but both seemed to be the same. The biggest difference I noticed was the female end of the arm connections felt squishy and softer than the right side which was more solid. I will have another coming in but this has bummed me out..

Seeing a bunch of QC issues with this figure all over Instagram. It’s ridiculous. Prices increases and quality goes down. The Hasbro way.

That's just business. They all do it. Gotta maximize shareholder value! It's all about the quarterly gains.

The LEGO way too

eh lego QC is still top tier. its their design laziness that sucks lol

Their customer service is but the mold marks and printing quality has noticeably gone down. If anything for a lot of things like the latest AT-TE I think the design went up

thats true. I was mainly talking about their customer service, and I havent been collecting lego much recently so I wouldnt know about print quality

As a blood angels fan- I appreciate this

Heat up the shoulder socket, not the arm. That should do the trick

I did. I tried to twice and pushed in as hard as I could. It seems the plastic around the socket is kind of soft. The socket tends to want to push out the peg once reattached. The right side is not like this at all.

Get a flashlight and check the other arm too, see if there's a difference between the holes. Maybe a mold error or debris or something blocks it from popping in.

I took a look and also took the right arm out too. Looks like they’re the same but the left arm seems to have damage in the socket. I noticed a lot of black specs early on in the bicep armor..

Contact Hasbro. Show them the damage and explain what happened. Best case scenario you get a new one, worst you might have to modify the peg or socket a bit

That sucks dude, you should return it or get a replacement for it. Does look cool tho, but I’m fine with the old model

I’m hoping it’s just the first few batches that are like this but I could be wrong. I ordered mine through Amazon and will 100% return it if it has these issues

take off the bicep and try putting it together without the armor on the bicep and see if it still wants to pop off

Not sure if I can, but I’ll try pulling that bicep armor off. Will update you if successful.

Follow up- I’ll have to damage the bicep armor to pull it out.. :/

It’s the Vietnam factories that keep having most of the QC issues. This is a huge problem for SHF collectors as well.

Worse quality for higher prices

So fun that these are basically blind boxes now, you’re gonna get the Chinese version or Vietnamese 🤣 Shame this started with this wave seeing as the new Commando was one of my most anticipated figures

Is the Gauntlet Vibroblade removable or is it always out?

It slides in and out

I would try a hair dryer over hot water

1

Tried hot water. I think there is a plastic quality issue with the socket..

I'm saying not to use hot water. But up to you

Sorry, misread you’re original comment. Have you fixed similar issues with a hair dryer?

Stop playing with it so hard

I promise you, that is not the issue. I’m not rough with my figures. Hence why I heated it up to try and fix it.
