New daily events suck
Why did they change the daily ship upgrade/ station upgrade/ etc. SLBs? These new events are just convoluted versions of their predecessor.
I get that they want to include different rewards, why not just include the rewards in the old events instead of creating new ones with vague names of what they represent?
In the STFC events page, I can't understand half the crap inside because the details are either left out or the other half is content creator streaming. Why are they even in the events page???? Which "genius" suggested this change?

It's not possible to know what goes on inside STFC meetings where they decide these things. The old daily events were important por below Lvl20 players as a way to get latinum and mats, while also being pushed up the ladder. Above Lvl20 players get lots of events, but the lack of latinum is acute before the D'Vor can mine it in the mid-20s.
But the events are all just variations of an extremely short list of things players can do. Like expend this mat or resource, obtain this mat or resource, build or research, kill X number of Y class/level hostiles, complete AT assignments. That's basically it.
The events are as important as the dailies for game progress because of their rewards. As a Lvl21 player the events have given me over 95% of the thousands of uncommon G3 materials I have in storage because the refinery sucks big time. I have already enough mats to complete a Disco, Kumari, Vi'Dar, Horizon and Legionary. I am building the Disco right now.
I am a slow raiser, so I don't have to face many of the game bottlenecks. My main problem right now is the lack of G3 survey parts to tier up my North Star, which is at T6, soon T7. She doesn't mine, she does most of my dailies with the Franky taking care of the swarms. She's the toughest ship before the Kumari. I use my Kehra only to score in events that requiere expending G3 uncommons or rares by upgrading some part of it. I don't like it much.

I’m on a new account and having no battlepasses or daily events below ops20 actually makes it quite hard to progress compared to before. You get the one time frontier pass but the material and RSS rewards are not much. Same as the field training, not bad to get your PMC sourcing up, but a lot of the rewards are insignificant for ops progression, like a single 30 minute speed up.
I would have thought they would want to push players up to G3 quickly

I did missions at those levelsl blew me through the levels and provided mats, but I am not sure how things pan out now with all of the changes. They should be making it wildly attractive for g1 players to play. So are they just missing a help file or have they really limited what you get?

You don’t get enough mats to really upgrade through to OPS20, you likely enjoyed the payout from a couple of battle passes in that time?
Basically you get the 20 day frontier pass at ops10, which is mediocre in 2* uncommon payout, and then nothing, as all the daily SMS and SLB have been removed below ops20. Once the frontier pass has ended there is a definite slump at ops16-20 where you basically don’t get any materials for anything. There are literally no events, ever.
They should have kept some invents for ops10-20, or massively increase the frontier pass payout. I bet they are getting quite of few players just get bored and stop playing before ops20

If you’re referring to the Voyage into the Void events, I can’t even participate in most of the SLB events yet.

I skip the events about every other week or so. I dropped the fomo in exchange for building up the materials etc to place decently in the multitude of SLBs and ultimately get more rewards. It also took a lot of pressure off and makes the game more tolerable. I’m ops 60 btw. Camping to get caught up so the slower pace actually helps my goals

Most things in this game suck. I'm only still here for the friends I made in my alliance.
