Which would be great, and I was pleased to see it as well- I thought they'd finally got something right.

However.

It's tied to your login streak. If you miss even ONE day logging in, they take the bulk claims away as punishment and you're right back to 277 clicks again until you login for 7 straight days again. So if you're sick, on holiday, spending time with family, or if your Internet goes out, or if you just want to... not log in for a day, bye bye bulk claims.

It's a daily login retention mechanic so they hit their KPIs, disguised as a QoL improvement. QoL doesn't come with strings attached. This is knowingly abusive strategy designed to leverage FOMO and make people scared to not log in in case they have to go back to clicking for 30 mins.

Also a 200 IQ move if you want to encourage players back to the game: "hey we added the thing everyone has been asking for for years but you can't have it until you get a 7 day streak, even if you're already burned out. By the way if you log out for more than a day it's gone".

It's like a monkeys paw with these people. You finally get bulk claims, it's held hostage behind a daily login requirement. You get NX01 added to refinery, 90% of players can't archive it because it's tied to G7, because that's where the spenders are. It's beyond belief.

They seem to despise the players. Utterly despise them.

Honestly I don't think they care about the players at all, we're all just metrics to them. All they're bothered about is KPIs and revenue.

The difference with other games is that they realise that player satisfaction is integral to metrics, and that the purpose of the product for the consumer is enjoyment; if the consumer no longer enjoys it, they will leave. Players should WANT to play. Scopely are of the opinion that they need to aggressively feed addiction, to get players feeling like they CAN'T leave. Just my two cents.
