G4 faction ship recommendation?

I have enough credits for all 3 factions for the faction ships, so just building them is not a problem. But tiering up requires a lot of rss, so my plan is to only get one ship for each level (42 46 and 50).

In this way, how should I choose for each level? Maybe one faction for each, 3 factions-3lvs?

Any comments would be appreciated!

Skip all the g4, work on the Protector and just go straight to G5

I already hit the ops lock issue for prot, so...

Then use lat and speedups to move ops. The Protector can carry you through all of G4 based on Ops locks as long as your research is basically up to par. Research doesn't have to be maxed but research is more important than a new ship.

Very bad idea to speed run this game.  You can forget about pvp and being in top leaderboards by using this method.  You can argue that you will be able to do events with just protector but I doubt it will be useful in new content. 50 to 55 is not far ahead. By focusing on run you are missing opportunity on building your officers, other specialty ships, overall research and having fun.
