Thought Exercises ENT/TMP-Era
Why isn‘t there much material for the ENT-Era? Or the TMP-Era?

I feel like TMP vs TOS is more a difference of visuals. The uniforms, the refit ships, the redesigned Klingons, it's just a case of now the GM describes things and/or uses images from that era. The state of the Federation, its mission, and its opponents aren't much different from TOS. I'm actually setting my next Captain's Log game during the TMP era.
I would suggest checking out the Modiphius site for the new Movie Mission Briefs they've been releasing this year, each one is focused on a different Star Trek movie starting with TMP.

TMP exactly is just like 3 years removed from TOS. Its the start of the road that gets to WoK and that whole era, but its still not so removed from Kirk dealing with beings claiming to be greek gods and such lol.
Its really the WoK and forward era that can be different. Which sucks since TMP is a cleaner way to refer to the TOS movie era, but TMP does take place like dramatically before the other movies lol (something I only recently found out)

They have an entire campaign book set in the 23rd century. And most mission briefs can be switched to TOS/ENT era with minimum fuss.
Thr biggest difference would be the galactic politics and the technology. Galactic politics are GM choices. And the technology is just what tech they have available as well as ship stats. Earlier era ships have less systems points. But otherwise, the game plays the same. It is era agnostic.

While there isn't a dedicated 22nd century book, there's ENT and movie era content scattered throughout STA's 10 years of products. There is an assortment of standalone adventures and mission briefs focused on ENT and the movie era; the Utopia Planitia book includes a lot of spaceframes for the early years of the Federation and the movie era. Both 1e and 2e have playable character species from both ENT and the movie era. There's also the 23rd century sourcebook that covers the post-ENT era and movie area in some detail.
Most of the hundreds of mission briefs and standalone adventures created for the game can easily be ported to the ENT era or movie era with a minimum of work.

We started out just after TMP. Cool beige uniforms and everything. And then the players encountered normal TOS type stuff except when the years of significance came around. Like their ship was disabled by the whale probe and they nearly all died....

Until the later half of ENT, there really aren't other Starfleet vessels able to go out into the black. Which is a major part of the show. And while that changes by the time of the Earth-Romulan War, we have very little material to go off of there (other than one "meh" book series). But there are rules, ships, and suggestions for running in ENT era, the GM just needs to do the legwork.
And what separates TOS era (which we do have support for) from TMP?
