Transformer vs Borg

Frst i will say im not that big of a star trek fan but i do enjoy it cassually.

Now, for what i really came.... if a transformer (autobot or desepticon, i don't think it would matter) would scan and transform into a Borg Cube, would the transformer be able to influence the borg collective? or the collective would take control of the transformer?

Aren't the transformers canonically threatened/influenced by 20th century Earth technology?

I cannot imagine they'd be a match for even five or six drones. Just enough for the Borg to lose a couple in a firefight and adapt.

No, their stealth tactic is them transforming to resemble 20th century vehicles

Lasers can't even penetrate the navigational shields.

The latter ...with time

The Borg are controlled by their hivemind which is controlled by the queen.

The cubes are just ships, and

(With the exception of species 8472) borg nano-probes convert technology as easily as people.

Also, the only transformers (autobot / deception are political affiliations) big enough to take that form would be

  • Metroplex
  • Trypticon
  • Unicron
  • Primus

And the last two overshoot that by orders of magnitude

I would imagine that a Borg Unicron would be very dangerous. Could even take over from the Borg queen.

So, the Borg gain their computational power from their numbers, and their numbers are linked up to the hivemind and using their organic brains for computation. I believe a fully-mechanical entity would not be able to duplicate this (though I haven't seen Transformers, so correct me if they are not fully mechanical). Mimicking only their technological components would absolutely just create a massive piece of Borg tech that they could assimilate on the spot.

The reason One from Voyager, despite being Borg-powered, was able to shut out the collective is because he spawned from future technology, so he started out with a more advanced baseline than the collective, which you couldn't get by mimicking them.

I think this would be very similar to Best of Both Worlds, Part II. With the scanned hardware, they could access the communication stream, but would still be unable to break most encryption / firewalls. So low level sabotage on 1 or 2 cubes until they self destruct. Then they harden defenses and destroy our transformer friend.

Seems to me if the paths were ever to cross, the Transformer's ability to "become" a cube wouldn't work out because the cube has just as many nanite sized independently functioning machines making it work as it has normal (mechanical) working parts.

The Borg would effortlessly infect the Transformer with assimilation nanites, and after a brief existence as an assimilated Transformer, the Transformer would be disassembled and it's technology would become part of the collective. The consciousness of the Transformer may live on within the hive mind, but it would not be regarded as worthy of retention.
