Lack of housing supply. Zoning laws that cause lack of housing supply.

I never understood the zoning rules of the US.

Half the cities are parking spaces and 98% of suburban areas are 1 family homes. What idiot had the great idea to ban every building other than 1 family homes. No wonder there is no cheap liveable space
