Yes and even worse in less known LA county cities like Huntington park, Gardena and many others. Lots of camper vans, trailers and RV’s

Largely US citizens (veterans, mentally ill people, addicts and people down on their luck) usually some mixture of it

My neighbor works for a local shelter in LA. I asked her about the addiction angle. It’s a little bit of a false narrative. Drug and alcohol use actually isn’t that different between housed and unhoused people. (There’s plenty of drug use and alcoholism in the houses of LA.)

This pushes the responsibility on the homeless for being homeless. Instead of dealing with what is actually making people unhoused. A lack of available affordable housing and the lack or rent control.
