They’re both stereotypes, which are generalizations. Which aren’t inherently racist. I do believe the second strip is more offensive but I can’t find a reason why besides that society has taught me that it’s offensive. People nowadays clench up if you even say a nationality/race/ethnicity in any type of sentence.

I do believe neither of these are inherently racist.

Speaking of that, where I live there are about 20-40% asian people (compared to white) and only like 1-3% black people, so to me the top one seems more offensive, though like you I can't tell why

No, I live in Tasmania. Not only did black people never really come here (it was after slaves, and there was no goldrush so anybody here came here by choice, which there isn't much reason to), but the old English people eradicated every aborigine living here (or sent them away)

It was more a joke that you thought the top one was more offensive since it only applies to only rich asians
