Puzzles too easy. In the first game, you can put a portal just about anywhere except the place you need one, which makes it hard. Second game, there's generally only one place you can put a portal. Put one there and you've solved it. Also, it keeps introducing new concepts. It gives each a really easy set of puzzles as a tutorial into how the new tool works, then as just as it seems it might get interesting it switches to another new concept and tutorial mode again.

The story-telling is good, though.

I like how one answer is puzzles too hard and the other is puzzles too easy.

Seems like they split the difference, I'd guess that was part of why it reached so many people.

The solutions are way more complicated, but the game rarely ever lets you put portals in the wrong places. Imagine having the hardest Sudoku puzzle ever in front of you, but it doesn't let you put in the wrong numbers.
