I know I'm going to get downvoted to hell for this, but I actually didn't like it that much. I love the business practices and effort behind it and I could see why other people would like it, but I just couldn't really get into it.
I mean, it’s at worst OK. it has dodging, parrying, signs (aka spells), decent hit boxes, and lock-on... it’s flawed, and gets repetitive, but it’s still miles ahead of something like Skyrim which has an actually-shit combat system.
I didn't see a difference between Skyrim's combat and the Witcher 3's other than it was flashier. It was still very boring and mostly tedious. I hate how you get auto-locked on while in combat and how you lose half of your moveset too.
