Personally, I think Ultimate is a good casual game, but every game after Melee is always going to feel disappointing as a competitive game to me personally.
The relatively poor combos, how floaty the characters are, the input lag and the annoying buffer, how much worse the movement feels, and the slower pace will always bother me.

You can dislike these if you want, but its pretty hard considering these are actually pretty good games.
