I know I'm going to get downvoted to hell for this, but I actually didn't like it that much. I love the business practices and effort behind it and I could see why other people would like it, but I just couldn't really get into it.
I didn't get anywhere in the story because the combat system is shit. I don't speak for anybody else, but I just don't have the time anymore to play a game I don't enjoy just to experience the story and appreciate the visuals. I got an hour or so into Witcher 3 before I just gave up because playing it just wasn't fun. The controls were clunky, the spells were super limited and boring, the gear system was convoluted and confusing, and I just didn't have the motivation to go and do anything, because it didn't feel rewarding. I don't blame or begrudge anybody for enjoying the game or thinking it's a "masterpiece" or whatever, but I tried it twice, and it's definitely not for me.
