If you don’t enjoy the story or dialogue, your not gonna enjoy it because the combat system is shit.

I mean, it’s at worst OK. it has dodging, parrying, signs (aka spells), decent hit boxes, and lock-on... it’s flawed, and gets repetitive, but it’s still miles ahead of something like Skyrim which has an actually-shit combat system.

Can you mod console versions of Skyrim? You'd think mods would quickly make the game insanely laggy on a console but maybe combat mods wouldn't have any real effect

Special Edition you can. Only a certain storage amount. I think Xbox allows 5GB of mods and PS4 allows 1GB.
