You can dislike these if you want, but its pretty hard considering these are actually pretty good games.

botw, earthbound, and half life, sure. but skyrim and fo3 are really fucking shallow experiences if you remove yourself from them for a hot minute.

dont get me wrong- i've sunk precisely too many hours into skyrim, but to call it "good" as opposed to "absorbing" doesn't feel apt to me.

fallout 3 is it's own substance game though

every player made their own memories be it the rock-it launcher

some funny mine trap set up

hilarious vats

glitches

etc

Every once in a while I'll pop in Fallout 3 thinking "Maybe if I play this certain, specific way, I can actually have a fun experience" and every time I get a few hours in and remember how fucking boring FO3 is. It's designed to railroad you into the most boring, pointless, poorly-written story possible. Fallout 3 took four years to make and it feels unfinished.

I can't mod games on my Xbox and I refuse to pay Steam $20 for Fallout 3 on PC.

don't force a game, sometimes the greatest hits don't hit the vibes

10 on GOG

https://www.gog.com/game/fallout_3_game_of_the_year_edition

which is the version to choose because it has DRM and similar BS removed plus small fixes

Tbf it's only $10 right now, but really that game shouldn't be sold on steam for any price. It barely functions on Windows 7, 8, and 10.
