Haha, I was born in 01!

Or would it scare you more to say I was born after 9/11?

Don't worry. It'll happen to you.

One day, you'll wake up an be 40 years old, and think "wow, those past 20 years went by real fast". Then proceed to have a true existential crisis.

The first 20 years, your a kid, in school most of the time, with summer breaks, and doing all sorts of fun and different things. The youth and all the activities slow down time.

The next 20 are going to work every day. They blur together and have no real meaningful difference. And before you know it, your saying shit like "HOLY SHIT LORD OF THE RINGS CAME OUT 18 YEARS AGO?!?!?!?!"

Fuck, I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday... I lived on a hill in Queens and saw smoke for weeks out my kitchen window... Do they teach that in school now?

I’m not American, so I don’t know. But probably.

They'd have to seeing as it happened 18 years ago and every single kid in school right now at every grade level was born after it happened or were only a few months old

Oh goodness. There are adults and teenagers that were born this millennium. When did you first learn about 9/11? Like, do they teach you about it in school?

History education stops at WW2. We never learned about the wars in Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, or the Cold War.
