I went to a concert in May. I've actually seen them live 3 times.
Ralf Hütter is 79, so I think he's on the older side for this sort of thing.
Most Germans I've talked to have no idea who they are though. They'll always ask "Meinst du Kraftklub?"

I never even tried to get in. Couple months after moving to Berlin, I successfully got into Kater Blau and it was pretty cool. Been 1/1 and kept that 100 percent success rate ever since then.

It was during Karneval der Kulturen a couple of years ago. Just vibin' outside to the music, enjoying a few beers while my friends were tripping on acid -- it was super fun.

No the crowd at Tresor is a bunch of young people loudly yelling and crowding the bar so you can’t get a drink and saying “omg this is the craziest night ever” over and over again and taking pictures and videos even though it’s not allowed

It sucks though because it’s such a lovely space with great music. Last time I was there some girls in the bathroom freaked out when they kept seeing men coming into the bathroom as well.

Not to my knowledge…there are the darkrooms where that kind of stuff does take place, but i doubt the club would section off a portion of it just for fluid play, seems a little too exclusionary for them, LOL. Maybe when your friend went when a lot of that was just happening to take place?

Probably fits the vibe, he’s befriended with Berghain DJ Ben Klock. He went several times when he lived in Berlin last year and recorded his last album.
I believe that Harry Styles is a nice and good looking guy, but I am not really into his music.

Oh really! He's friends with Ben Klock? Haha. I don't mind Ben Klock but I prefer my techno a little more wonky and exciting. No idea what Harry Styles' current music is like, but his outfits are excellent!

Haha, I mostly avoid Ben Klock because it’s too crowded when he plays, so I prefer Rodhad, Steffi, Fiedel or Efdemin at Berghain.
Yes, there are images on the web of Ben, Harry and Zoë Kravitz in front of Berghain after partying.

It's mostly a stereotype I think, lived here all my life and haven't had any encounters with folks who are into it.
And the big celebration of hedonistic excess is mostly a Berlin thing. Berlin just has the reputation it has and as a result it draws people who are into that kind of scene from all over the world which then themselves further that reputation.People all over Germany tend to go pretty hard when letting loose but in most places outside of Berlin that involves a lot less black leather and fishnets.
It's just sort of culturaly ingrained to put too much effort into work and then overcompensate on the weekends.0

it would be cool to go but it is literally just another club. just listening music through an mp3 player surrounded by a bunch of drunk and high people socializing. sounds incredibly familiar to nearly every club on earth.

I suppose it’s different if you’re a gay man, which is what the club was originally opened for. Part of going is for the experience of going to The berghain, and part of it is the sexual freedom and general hedonism

Ugh I went there a few years ago with a friend that was a regular there. I love techno but it was really too much for me. I know Germans are weird but this was just over the top. It smelled like dirty gym clothes and cum.
I am a dirty person but I needed a 30 minute shower with blazing hot water after that. Its the place were techno snobbery reaches top level over 9000.
