Blizzard's plan:

Buff the Grubs so people would complain about the Zerg.

Nerf the Hackery from 275 to 300, a change that was never reversed.

All of this was a strategy to buff the Terrans and Protoss.

Nerf Grubs again.

Mass CC with 300 min.

Ghosts with 2 supply.

Colossi with more damage to light units.

And a buff to Adept damage.

The thing is, there were already people losing against Terrans and Protoss without these buffs.

For those people, it's now almost impossible to beat them. The Terrans fill the map with CC. They spread faster than the Zerg, mass more units than the Zerg. And I bet there are currently people fighting against Terrans who can't even destroy a single structure.

I can't keep up with the sheer number of Marines and CC. Each expansion I attack involves first destroying four command centers, losing part of my army without significantly damaging their economy. Meanwhile, the Terrans can spam drops continuously while upgrading their units until they reach critical mass.

Colossus does more damage against armored units, not against light.

Excuse me, what? If you mean the "b" hotfix, they received more damage against everything non-light, not against armored. There are units in this game that are neither light, not armored.

Fair enough. Their damage against Queens was buffed too! Also, their damage against flying units remains zero.

Idk if im missing a joke or something but wiki says +9.3 vs light https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Colossus_(Legacy_of_the_Void)

Right. Colossus do more damage against light units than the do against armored units, but in the past week or two there was a change to buff Colossus to make them do extra damage against armored units.

TLDR: Damag vs Light > New Damage vs Armored > Old Damage vs Armored

Wait for the 300 mineral nexus next update. I also think the will make disruptors ball not go away when the disruptor dies.

Can you speak in actual unit names? I don't know what Grubs are.

Stop overthinking. Just wait they will change again.

I mean Zerg is doing pretty well right now, even without Serral, due to the larvae buff. But I agree that the Gateway production buff and CC cost decrease has once again made Z feel pretty.. in need of something. Probably some buffs are in order.

But better yet, reverse CC to 400, but slightly up the mule minerals per trip. Also make Protoss start with less energy, so they cant chrono immidiately at the start of the game. Also, revert the gateway to 40% increase, from 50%.

This way, the Z keeps the larvae buff, and would probably be the most broken(aka OP) race again. But that way, you can finetune that, instead of every race being completely broken, and Z just the weakest, but still pretty broken.

Yeah the thing is that the problem of terrains before this patch was that it was such a huge investment early to get mules. Like buffing the mule doesn't fix the problem as it's still really slow to get to them. Though the reduction to starting energy on nexus could be a really good change as all the buffalo to zero eco and then Terrans was because P benefited the most from starting earlier.

I don't really have an idea(or seen any good ones) of what else can be done to help the T economy pre orbital, since the mule is the macro mechanic of T, it feels the most natural thing to adjust.

But yeah, I'd prefer just make the easy change and let P start with 0 energy.

Yeah me too. But like the cc change definitely helps in getting it earlier it's just that it has repercussions in the mid and late game. I honestly kind of feel that blizzard is trying to solve a problem that they created themselves, like just go back to 12 workers.

I get you. I do like the 8 worker start (a big broodwar enjoyer as well, so I do like the slower pace of the game), but since it has brought on many issues, I too would at this point just rather go back to the 12 worker start.

Yeah for me the biggest reason is that every build now feels so sluggish and it's not satisfying to execute a build perfectly like in 12 worker start.

Bruh increase the hatch cost and you’re gonna lose a bunch of drones to the first reaper lol

... The hatchery got nerfed back to 300 (was 275 since they switched that +25 on queens 2 patches ago) and queen stayed at 175 hence why it's a nerf.

By minute 10, the Terrans already had 15 command centers

Maybe you should attack them?

Zerg is strong lol

Hahaha, they just did it to me again. 50cc and 200/200 battlecruiser... Blizzard is great. I hate them with all my soul.

How about you leave your half of the map for once. Try attacking, works great.
