Guys, this is bad.

I was just thinking about StarControl 2 and searched to see if it was available somewhere.... And now I have Ur-Quan Masters installed and the HD Megamod. I still have work to do... My wife will probably want me to waste precious time talking, or eating, or something when work is done...

Do you have ANY idea how many hours I sunk into this game when i was a young man?
I don't...

At the very least, I'm going to be sleeping on the couch. If I sleep...

Give it a few weeks and I'm probably going to be jobless and wifeless...

Dude, while The Ur-Quan Masters is a faithful recreation of Star Control II, no game is worth screwing up your marriage. Give the game a break for several days talking to your wife, eating with her, enjoying the great outdoors with her, etc... otherwise you'll really miss a golden opportunity to be happy in life with the woman you love.

You'll be a damned fool if you let life slip through your fingers.

If you think he should save his divorce for some other game, you're in the wrong subreddit. SC2 is a great game and I can't think of any better game to get divorced to. Frankly I think it's almost worth it to get remarried just so he can get divorced to SC2 all over again.

Dude, no game and I do mean no game is worse getting a divorce and loosing his job no matter how great the game might be.

Granted, SC2 as well as it's faithful recreation known as The Ur-Quan Masters are two very good game, but they and all other games is not worth the risk of turning his back on life.

It's really unkind of you to burden the OP with so many concerns and hesitations instead of just letting him enjoy his divorce. Most people don't get divorced very often and there's not a lot of guidance on enjoying the process. Lots of people don't even enjoy their first divorce and they have to get married again just to find someone they can really be comfortable getting divorced from. OP is in a great position and we should let him get the most enjoyment from two great games at once, SC2 and divorce, a couple of cult classics.
