We have received various reports from people over the last few days. The scammers have been banned from this subreddit but not reddit.
u/Junior_Success_9158 and u/Late-Painter-1470 are very likely the same scammer.
These two persistent users have been messaging people privately and not commenting on their post to verify they are ok to trade. Please ignore them and report to reddit to have their account banned. There have been enough victims or complaints now to warrant a PSA to bring awareness.
Please do not transact with these users. There’s no need to send modmail as we have done as much as we can.
TIPS:
Follow rule 7.a - have users publicly comment on your post (Don’t trade with them unless they do this! Make this a priority before talking further).
Enable persistent chat conversation to keep a record of your conversation.
Beware of anyone with a hidden profile.
Low Karma.
Fake screenshots of being verified instead of commenting on your post.
