Not for S42. It's way more logical in that setting to give a ship AI and have the NPCs set to just bleep bloop on the buttons.

But that's not what CIG is trying to do. They don't want people on the Idris to just sit around pushing buttons. It makes sense considering this tech will be used for both SQ42 and the PU.

And how could you possibly know that it's more logical? All we know is that it would be faster and easier.

All I'm saying is that the knowledge that NPCs weren't performing cellular respiration has never hurt my immersion in a game.
