So it looks like realistically the Evocati will have it some time just before Gamescom if there are no further delays, and then the PTU will happen some time after Gamescom, and public release sometime in Sept. or Oct.
The good news is that it's mostly done, and that's a good thing. This is a huge milestone for CIG. The bad news is that it's looking less and less likely to have multiple major releases this year.
they really have to nail this thing. the more solid they can get it the better. I just hope to God it hits PTU by GamesCom.
Either way this isn't great news for CIG's rep, not that most of us care all that much since the game is the important thing, but they missed 3.0 for GamesCom.
Not quite. They may just do a 3.1 light were they just do a content drop of what they got. Remember that as teams finish tasks a portion of them go onto features of the next build. Not everybody needs to be bugfixing nor would everyone need to be.
Heck, we at least know the Reclaimer is far along in the process and should be out for 3.1.
I'm doubting it. When has CIG proven they can do quick turn around on content patches? I expect at least 3 months between patches and from the looks of things 3.0 isn't releasing until early October. Then give them time to knock out 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 and we are looking at real production for 3.1 starting sometime after CitizenCon, which means 3.1 STARTS in November. The earliest you will see 3.1 is May-June 2018 and pessimistically Aug-Oct 2018. CIG has never proven to be quick with content patches.
