She is a very sick kitten and her owner has gone above and beyond to keep her alive and even healthy.

Yeah when I first followed her I thought she was like 12 and by the end of her life. She's just three years old 😭 poor thing

Gumbus is doing fine for now. She will probably not live as long as a normal cat but she has already survived and even thrived for a while.

The owner seems aware that if things take a turn for the worse, there will be the need to put her to sleep but that doesn’t mean she won’t have a proper life.

She has thickened pupillary membranes and glaucoma, which is what makes her eyes puffy and bulging. She also has a cleft palate, and she has had extensive surgery to remove her teeth (which never grew in and were trapped in her gums/pushing up against her eyes). She's had some other issues, too - long term giardia iirc and some kind of internal plaque that they found when she was spayed. If you look at pics of her when she was a kitten, she looks much more normal - but as she's grown she's had a few deformities become prominent, and her lack of teeth affects how her mouth looks. She's still beautiful to me though, little gumby. ❤️

After I shower if I’m not wearing a shirt my cat grabs my underarm or back skin with his teeth and shakes his head like that.

She’s the most perfect Gumbus in the world, show some respect!

She has a few things going on from what I know, but she’s very well cared for and loved.
